Hey Guys,
I am looking to install a good video recording program, so we can get some footage of the 4th in action. I have asked Fox about this and he had suggested a few programs. I was just looking to get some input about what programs you all could suggest as well.

Re: Drop recording
Let me get a link or two for you on my original suggestions:
For Twitch.TV Streaming and Recording:
http://www.twitch.tv/broadcast
For local recording:
http://www.fraps.com/
http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster (Screencast Tab. Not much experience with it yet. I do know having Screencast activated breaks streaming to Twitch with Xsplit... so you have to uncheck it if you're using Gamebooster for cleaning up Windows before launching a game, then restoring Windows after it launches.)
Those are the things I mentioned when we talked.
As an aside, I just put the order in for the last processor upgrade my current computer will ever get. It's going up to a Core 2 Quad Q6600. That's 4 cores at 2.4ghz each with Virtualization Support (not really important to anyone unless you run Virtual Machines). I should be able to stream with that, but I'll be overclocking it as well. Video card will be the last upgrade to this computer before building a new one. That one may take a couple weeks.

Re: Drop recording
If you are looking for something free, there is Bandicam. It has only ten minute vids though and a watermark unless you buy the full version.
Edit: Actually now that I've played around with this, I don't think It records a second audio input like teamspeak. Or is that normal?

Counterfeiting is illegal. That's why no one makes any sense.

Re: Drop recording
I think this is common for recording apps. Joe was having trouble with the same thing and Fraps.EitherWayToGo wrote:Edit: Actually now that I've played around with this, I don't think It records a second audio input like teamspeak. Or is that normal?
Xsplit seems to support multiple audio inputs just fine. It does have a free level of use, with a 10 second nag-ware screen each time you launch it. It also has some advanced features only available if you pay for it. It's a subscription based model and as such you have to register a (free) account with them and log in when using it. The free level doesn't run out. Its pay features are useful enough that it could be worth it as well. But paying monthly (every three months under the current offer) is a bit of a turn off to me.

Re: Drop recording
Okay, Bandicam seems to pick up teamspeak, but not the recorder's voice. I think I might use yet another program and try and overlay them.
Edit: found a way to add a second input so now I won't fail as hard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px8vaTba8KI
