Wont be around much until later: Hardware Swap (!!Update!!)

And here we go again. Up over 12 hours of trying to swap to the new hard drive, with several failures racked up. I have a couple options left to try, but I'm about to install Windows fresh in the hopes of restoring the backups Windows had been making.

I haven't slept, so I definitely won't make it to practice on time. I will be on some time today, one way or another.

I am currently Meched out, so I probably won't do much mechwarrior this week. I might come play if the patch interests me enough, or I start and just can't stop playing. Not sure how this is relevant to the topic right now, so I'll just be sitting over here in this corner.

No worries, burnout happens. I've had my share of weeks where I only logged on for practices. Take a break, but don't be a stranger!

You know, I think I went to the first open drop bay night, but haven't been back since, certainly not since it ballooned into this big thing. I may see if I can swing by.

Finally made some progress. Running purely on the new hard drive with both XP and Win7 imaged to it. Had to do NTFSClone from partition to image file to get a clean image of the intact file system, then restore to partitions. However, I could not fix the MBR and Boot Partitions no matter what I tried. I finally ran Windows 7's image backup from the 10th and all is booting. However I'm getting domain errors now that I have to fix before I'm back to playing.

And it appears everything is sorted with my computer. I am up and running with the old drive disconnected, the contents now running on the new hard drive. Everything appears to be intact and running fine.

That said, my hardware woes aren't over. The now oldest server since my domain controller went bad is now randomly rebooting Windows with no sign of anything in the event logs. Windows isn't even realizing it didn't shut down properly. Fun stuff... I'll at least be around now, though!
