Yep, THATS IT!!! Except it was definitely "ae" and not the "a" with the dots over it. It was someones name the other night. What does it mean? Sorry to offend, but it's fun as hell to say in the "Swedish Chef" voice.

The "ae" is just a replacement for "ä". (as is oe for ö and ue for ü)

And Demon is right it means pain enhancer/amplifier.

And we never take offense when some yankee doodles try to speak our language. For the most part it is quite entertaining. :-P

(I don´t get the swedish chef reference though.)

The swedish chef is a character from the muppet show back in the 70's. All of us old guys should enjoy this. :lol:

Anyway you do understand mate that Swedish is not the same language as the German? :lol:
But for the Swedish chef case i don`t know that if we had a Swidesh guy amongst us would understand what he was saying!! :lol:
Propably he wasn`t speaking any language.

of course. When I first saw that word I didnt even know if it was any language, I just tried to pronounce it and it just flowed out with an accent like the swedish chef. now as far as the chef goes, its all gibberish.

Yes he was talking gibberish but the thing that they tried to make fun of the cooking habits of the Skandinavians.
