Hey guys, I'm just curious about what everyone is running for a PC. Laptop, desktop, GPU, CPU, monitor, etc.? I am a junkie for specs, so if you don't mind sharing, I'd love to hear them!

I'll start. The beast was built last spring, and has gone through a few GPU, and cooling upgrades since then. Currently, I have:

CPU: Intel 2600k overclocked to 4.2 Ghz, and cooled by a Corsair h50 all-in-one cooler.
RAM: 8 GB, 1866 Mhz
GPU: r9 290x, cooled using an NZXT g10 bracket with an h55 cooler.
PSU: 750w NZXT Hale
SSD#1: OCZ Vertex 3 120gb
SSD#2: PNY Optima 240gb
HDD: Seagate 1TB
Case: Corsair 600T white.

The cooling setup is a bit nuts right now, and I have to get more heatsinks for my video card's RAM. That thing gets burning hot, even with fans pointed right at it. Air is taken in from the side, the top, and the back, and has a huge fan blasting it out the front. It works for now, and I'll likely improve that after the car is paid off.

We custom configure and put together all of our computers here. Back in the day it was just flat out cheaper while getting to pick exactly the components we like. These days, its not always cheaper, but we still use exactly the components we want.

My computer started as my wife's old computer, became mine after my old computer fried, and then over the last couple years has been upgraded to almost the max it can take. It could handle more RAM, but the CPU wont go much further. And the poor 660 Ti is ever so slightly choked on the old PCI-E slot.

Forget which brand 80mm 4800rpm screamer as front intake on manual fan controller.
80mm all aluminum framed rear exhaust fan with blue LEDs.
Case: Stuffed in an ancient by today's standards Thermaltake XaserIII Lanfire
Misc: Old SB Audigy 2 ZS Platnium Pro that is only ever used as an audio input device.

Can't find a picture of my computer, and it'd be too much trouble to dig it out of its corner right now. I run MWO on max settings in DX9. I don't get 60 FPS, but the average is around 30. Plenty playable for me.

This year was my wife's turn to get a fresh new computer build. There was a focus on 5 year warranties where possible, and max upgradability during that 5 year period. There are CPU, RAM, HDD and GPU upgrade paths that should keep it reasonably competitive for years.

I have two pc's that I can play from (3 if i load it on my wife's asus laptop). I don't really OC or modify my systems much anymore. I've gotten into the habit of having at least 2 or 3 pc's that I can run any game from just depending on which machine we have with us.

I do love the laptop, only thing I don't like is Win8 and gigabyte had some issues with the chassis on the unit, ie it breaks in the center. They did give owners an extended like 4 year warranty on that though. I would have rather had a Razor but I didn't have 3k to spend.

My desktop is a custom rig I built several years ago. I7, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd, Nvidia 570ssc, win7 running a haupphauge tv tuner that I use as my media center to my xbox360.

The video card is a bit dated as is the main data drive. Money has been tight in recent years so I don't see myself getting any updates in quiet a long while, which is why I'm glad my laptop will be able to handle any updates for the next xx years.
